All students at Lorne Akins are automatically registered into the four academic core subjects for their grade: Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies (Physical Education is also a compulsory course).

One of the most exciting things about entering Junior High is OPTIONS! Students have the opportunity to choose from a list of options!

All students will choose three full year options for the year (with PE counting as their fourth option).

Sports for Life will be a double option block, meaning you will only need to choose 1 more option.

*Remember, we have a 2 day cycle, with 6 periods per day. Meaning, you will have your four core classes, plus 2 option classes per day.
